Scope & Content A thesis written on Massachusetts History, Joseph Fox and Thomas Cowdin and their part in the Revolution. Both imigrants to Fitchburg, starting a business, Fox shoe making, Cowdin a tavern. Both did their part, Cowdin as A Captain in the rebel army and Fox as a First Lieutenant in the Fitchburg Militia. Massachusetts being the focal point at this time to resistance against the British, Fox was active in raising supplies for the Continental Army.
