Description A pestle made of sedementary rock made and used by Native Americans. There is a piece of paper attached which reads (faintly) "Indian Pestle? found in Fitchburg, given by Mrs. Lydia Hawes Wood" The blunt end has been broken off. This tool was used for grinding.This could be up to 14,000 years old.
