Photograph of James P. Derby standing at the entrance to his pharmacy which was once located at 375 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA. Records fround by donor showed that Derby operated a drugstore at this address between 1890 and 1913.. He also owned one in Boston on Harrison Street between 1883 and 1885. Derby’s brother, Gilbert H. Derby, was a hotelier and owned Derby House in Fitchburg, the Summit House atop Mount Wachusett, and Pine Cottage at Old Orchard Beach, ME |
