Letter written Feb. 6, 1893 to A. W. Locke, Esq. from F. O. [Frank O.] Melcher in the Maintenance of Way Department of the Fitcburg Railroad Company, Hoosac Tunnel Route. In the letter Mr. Melcher is replying to a request for measurement of "the new line at Williamstown" saying that it was "never staked out." He added: "I send you a sketch giving scaled distances and angles which I trust will answer your purpose."
