One entry , (Pages 52-54) written by John Veysey, is about Father Everett Briggs who was born in 1908 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He helped build St. Barbara's Nursing Home in Monongah where he still holds the position of assistant administrator. The nursing home was built as a memorial to the Monongah miners, hundreds of men who lost their lives in 1907. |
