Summary |
While William McKinley was greeting well-wishers at a reception at Buffalo's Pan American Exposition a gunman shot him. A call went out to Buffalo's surgeons and a gynecologist responded as a more logical choice was not available at the time. He made the repairs, and the president seemed to be on the road to recovery. Reexamining the president's care in the understanding we have today leads to a different explanation. The gunman used an Iver Johnson .32 caliber revolver. |
