Description |
Large photograph album with 29 pages of black and white photographs during World War Two from 1944-1946 by the donor's father, Sgt. George Mikaelian. He was a member of the U.S. Army Co. C. 733rd Railway Operating Battalion. The photos depict railroad cars and depots throughout Germany and France. Some of the cities are: Lerouville, Shalons, Reims and Paris FR; Newstadt, Hamburg and Mannheim GER. Photos are inserted into photo corners; the album cover is blue with a cord binding the pages together at the spine. Sgt. George Mikaelian was born in Nov. 1920 in Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1938. |
