Album with 5 pages each containing approximately 24 black and white photos taken in Germany during World War II by donor's father, Sgt. George Mikaelian. The photos are from 1944-1946. He was a member of the U.S. Army 733rd Railway Operating Battalion. Many photos from Bebra, Kessel, and Frankfurt showing bombed sites, and from Esslingen. The latter are mostly of buildings and railroads. Cover is brown leather. Photos are in plastic sleeves. Condition fair. Sgt. George Mikaelian was born in Nov. 1920 in Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1938. |
