Box containing several items collected over the years by Harry Mayor while working at General Electric (GE) in Fitchburg. The box includes: A brass casting of a replica of the original "D 58" steam turbine attached to an electric generator built by the "Type D" steam turbine department in Lyynn, Mass. prior to 1940. The Type "D" steam turbine was the foreunner of the small steam turbine department that moved to Fitchburg in 1943. It later became the Mechanical Drive Steam Turbine department. A belt buckle, also bronze, is a replica of the name plate on the GE steam turbine that sits on the sire of the former Broad Street Plant in Fitchburg. This turbine was originally installed in the Los Angeles water department and when decommissioned, returned to Fitchburg to serve as a tribute to the many years of reliable service that products of this departmen enjoyed.
